THE BIRTH OF PAMBILI PRODUCTIONS:
Pambili Productions was founded in 1992 by award winning cinematographer Mandlakayise Walter Dube II. Pambili has conceptualized the Legends of Freedom Series, which emanated from the need for entertainment based heritage tourism. The following productions have been co-produced: 30th Anniversary of Solomon Mahlangu, June 16th Uprising for German and French TV, A Great Soul: Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe, Umtunzi We Ntaba: 4 x Drama Series for SABC among others.
Over the past twenty years we have built a professional network with an array of reputable institutions/organizations. Some of our networks include the following: SABC, SABC Sport, Channel O, Sony Music, Gauteng Film Commission, National Film and Video Foundation, Department of Justice, Department of Sports, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Environmental A and Tourism and many more respectives as our clients. Our potency is in creating legacy productions that will serve to preserve the memory of our liberation for future generations.
